A two-day process for clarity, perspective, and direction

The LifePlan™ Process is a two-day, one-on-one facilitated experience developed by the Paterson Center. It helps individuals gain clarity by exploring their life story, values, gifts, and calling and then crafting a personalized plan for the years ahead.

This is not counseling or therapy. It is not coaching or advice-giving.

Instead, it is a guided process that helps remove the noise and distractions so you can clearly see the way forward.

“Attending my two-day session with Shalva Planning was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I entered feeling unsure of my purpose in this new chapter of life, but Deidre created a space that felt comfortable, supportive, and deeply thoughtful.

She helped me reconnect with my core values and understand how faith and Kingdom purpose shape fulfillment. I left with clarity, direction, and a plan for both my career and personal life. The takeaways from this experience are invaluable and will guide me for years to come.”

LifePlan Process notebooks and guided reflection materials used during Shalva Planning sessions.

This process is especially meaningful for individuals who:

  • Are at a crossroads or in a season of transition

  • Feel overcommitted, burned out, or misaligned

  • Desire clarity rooted in faith rather than formulas

  • Want to be intentional about how they steward their time, gifts, and relationships

You don’t need to have everything figured out. You simply need to be willing to slow down and engage honestly.

Who this process serves best

As a Certified LifePlan™ Guide, my role is not to fix you or tell you what to do. I facilitate a thoughtful, structured process that helps you listen more clearly — to your story, your values, and the way God is leading.

Clients often describe the experience as both grounding and freeing: a place where they feel seen, heard, and clear about what comes next.

“My time with Deidre working through the LifePlan Process was unlike anything I’d ever experienced before. As we walked through my most impactful life events, my core talents and values began to reveal themselves in ways I had never verbalized.

That process helped me come to terms with where I’m at in life and gave me confidence to move forward toward certain goals feeling sure they were in alignment with who I am at my core. The whole process brought me more peace and clarity in many areas of my life.”

ABOUT THE PATERSON CENTER

The LifePlan™ Process was developed by the Paterson Center, an organization that has been guiding individuals and leaders through discernment and life planning for more than fifty years.

Founded by Tom Paterson, the Center is built on a belief that clarity does not come from quick answers, but from thoughtful reflection, honest conversation, and time set apart. While Tom was involved in many influential innovations throughout his life, his most enduring work was the creation of a process that helped people better understand why they are here and how they are called to live.

For decades, individuals and leaders have sought out this work at meaningful crossroads, using the LifePlan process to gain perspective, discern direction, and move forward with intention. Today, the Paterson Center continues that legacy by training and supporting certified guides around the world.
